ABOUT THE CENTER

The Center for Women and Families provides trauma-informed advocacy and  support for individuals, families and communities affected by intimate  partner violence and sexual assault. We mitigate the impact of trauma by  building resiliency and reducing risk factors at all levels. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS MONTH

October is nationally recognized as Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention Month; a time to celebrate survivors, honor those who have died, raise awareness, and confirm our commitment to preventing intimate partner violence in our community.  This year the Center is asking you to join us as an #EverydayAdvocate. Everyday Advocates don’t just hope survivors know they are cared about; we show support through our words and actions.  We have put together 31 ways you can be an #EverydayAdvocate this October – check out our list and join us as all of our actions work to change culture.  We will not tolerate domestic and sexual  violence!

We couldn’t keep ALL of our services free of charge to victims of  domestic and sexual violence without help from our community.  Help us  with our biggest fundraiser of the year. The EverydayAdvocate: Give Campaign.  Click HERE to learn more.
